Smuggler Warehouse 1 - Detailed Overview

A lot of you will inevitably want to know what to expect from the smuggler warehouses on Planet Arkadia. This post covers Warehouse 1 in detail. I will cover Warehouse 2 in a few days. Hopefully.

REQUIREMENTS for Warehouse 1:

1. Complete IFN Killpoint Challenge for WOMBANA through Stage 6. You can do this before you buy the smuggler clothing or visit the smugglers for that matter.

2. After you've completed the 6 stages of Wombana, you will have to visit the smuggler's den. They will need 500 peds TT of arkoins for the first half of your smuggler clothing set. Then you will have to buy the second half of the set of clothing for another 500 peds TT of arkoins. This is one time fee. You will then be able to get the "proving your worth" mission or similarly called. Immediately you can turn in your stage 6 wombana progress and the smuggler will inform you that you can access the warehouse, located at Celeste Military HQ, to the right of the trade terminals through those doors that were normally sealed, and to the left, down the ramp, and then to the right by the IFN soldier guarding the door, he says he will look the other way. You then go in those doors immediately left is Warehouse 1. Also you will want to pick up the Smuggler Training mission from the terminal there as well at the smuggler den, er, maybe its an NPC, I forget its been a year since I was there, but this will give you mission skill rewards for all the mobs you grind inside the warehouses.

RECOMMENDED GEAR:

Adjusted Vigi and 6A works great; the adjusted vigi gives 20% dodge boost, and yes, all the mobs in the warehouse 1 shoot at you so you need dodge for defense skill. It is doable in Imp Spec and Pulsar 5 plates, but I will tell you, not having the dodge boost from the adjusted vigi is very noticeable with multiple mobs shooting at you at the same time, which, I only ran this combo to see the difference between having the boost and not having the boost. Are there better combinations of armor for warehouses? Most likely. But Adjusted Vigi won't break the bank with a full set coming in around usually 1200 to 1500 peds total, sometimes cheaper if you watch for bargains. Or you can go for improved vigi for better bonuses and ratings, too. But no use breaking your bank if you don't have to.

Adjusted Maddox 4 with beast amp works great, i.e. base DPS in the 50s plus the amp, though the less dodge and defense skills you have, the more dps you might want just so you aren't suffering so hard to get through. Its not that the mobs are tough, but when you dont quite have enough skill, the fact there can be 5 or 10 NPCs shooting at you at the same time, even damaging you for 5 or 10 at a time, it hurts and adds up fast. But it is loot as you go, so, if you've unlocked it, and you cant quite make it through, you aren't going to be out a whole lot.

I have never used more than 200 peds TT of ammo on Warehouse 1, and always have some left over; if you are using L weapons, make sure you've got enough condition worth of weaponry to dispense at least that much ammo.

Using the Maddox 4 Adjusted with Beast, my total cost, with decay, on gun amp and armor, healing, everything, I was averaging 166 peds spent each warehouse 1 I ran. (I am reasonably certain, unless this was the number from my PBR-25 and Evil amp, I can't remember now, but regardless, I doubt you will approach 200 peds regardless of your setup as long as its reasonably suited for this level of instance.)

I usually get back anywhere from 120 peds to 400 peds TT worth of loot; most of the time theres good markup.

THE GENERAL LAYOUT

You get a 50 minute timer, which is more than plenty.

Warehouses are made for teams, but you can solo them. Oh, and you can run them as often as you want! Your smuggler clothes and your grind to unlock the warehouse in the first place, are the only costs you will ever have to pay to access these!

There are four levels. Most commonly there are 69 mobs total for warehouse 1. The second level has the half-boss, and the last level has the boss, which, has a lot of health compared to all the other mobs in the warehouse. Be aware if you are soloing and you are dying, the revive timer increments each time you die.

There are no trade terminals in the warehouses like you would find in Aakas. So, it doesnt hurt to have portable repair and trade terminals on you just in case.

The first two hallways between levels, have soldiers that will spawn behind you. If you don't shoot them, the doors will not open. The door for the last level, is opened by two terminals. You have to rapidly use each terminal in quick succession. If you are too slow operating them both, the door will remain closed, an alarm sounds, and soldiers spawn behind you. Once you shoot them, you can attempt the terminals again. It is easy to get the hang of, but if you are banging on a terminal and wonder why the door dont open, well, you gotta work both of the terminals.

Also, the soldiers that spawn on top of the cargo containers, are auto-loot regardless of whether you have autoloot or not. They are the only ones with this trait.

HOW TO ACCESS WAREHOUSE SOLO:

Form a team, you don't have to actually add anyone but yourself. Enter the warehouse. Once you are inside, disband your team. Now, you can hunt all you want, regardless, and you can loot everything you shoot. But, make sure you disband if you didn't add someone to your team. It is loot as you go, there are NO boxes for you to open.

IMPORTANT ADVICE AND KNOWLEDGE ABOUT WAREHOUSE 1:

RARE LOOT: You want to be on the look out for Full TT Moonshine L plates. Less than full TT are only worth whatever similar rated plates are worth for people who use L plates. But FULL 30 ped TT plates, can be converted via NPC in the arrivals hangar, along with 1 graphene COMPOSITE, and 10 graphene polymers, into a Unlimited Smuggler Plate 1. It has the same protection ratings, but is repairable and adds 1% chance to block damage. The graphene composite is EXTREMELY rare. I have never looted a composite. But, I've looted a few full TT plates. So. just be on the lookout.

A lot of good markup L guns and attachments drop in warehouse 1, though you can easily flood the market with the attachments. The guns are always reliable sellers.

I was told, even in Warehouse 1, you still have a (very slim) chance of looting your UL Smuggler armor. But, most likely you will loot limited Moonshine armor pieces, but, my advice is hang onto them, and use them for the bigger warehouses. I suspect the moonshine will work great on the bigger warehouses.

CONCLUSION

Warehouse 1 is too easy for me, warehouse 3 is too difficult for me, so I am about to try warehouse 2 for the first time. I have 1/4 million skill points, but, I reckon chipping out my dodge and evade a few years ago was the worst mistake I ever made in the game. I have no one to blame but myself lol.

I have given away a LOT of valuable hard to just go out and find info in this post, so, please, if you find any use in any of my sponsored banner ads either near the top or near the bottom of this page, please consider taking a look. I have no popups, no paywalls, just a few honest banner ads that maybe will be of some interest to you, and if they are, great, if not, well, that is ok too.

New Moon Rising (ADVICE)

So; Ark's new moon finally launched. What is my advice?

Those of you still around from before and during the Monria launch; recall the first 24 or 48 hours of the Monria craze; many, many big towers were hit.

Think back to the first few months of Explosive Projectiles; big hofs round the clock, now you almost never see them hof like they used to.

MA always seems to loosen things up at the start to draw people in then they tighten it down over time. The best time to try something is when it is new because you don't know what will happen, and hey; I remember a time also when the asteroid was paying well, and yes, that was long time ago too. Over time things tend to get worse in Entropia.

If you want a chance at a miracle, GO to the new moon, and pound it all you can! That is what I will do if I get a chance here! While it might be great in 1, 2, 5, or 10 years from now, it will never pay so well as it almost certainly will in the first few months.

Good luck, happy hoffing!

Arkadia Gold Rush!

I am thinking about heading to Arkadia for their gold rush that is supposed to go live with the next update. There are Arkoins that will be able to be found worth 1 pec each. There will be some alienware PC's that can be found, and some very rare golden keys and their blueprints that will start to drop, and it is advertised you can either use the keys to go treasure hunting or turn them in for 10K peds worth of Arkoins.

So...

Maybe, maybe this is the day that we as treasure hunters have waited for. I very much am anxious to see what turns out to happen on Arkadia during this event. Have they actually succeeded in an idea that will make it worthwhile for us to go there and give treasure hunting a try? I should hope so and it certainly appears to be true.

Treasure Hunting Arkadia: Will It Ever Be Released?

I am GREATLY frustrated. The KEY element ensuring the success and driving the anticipation behind Arkadia was TREASURE HUNTING. I remember last year the release date was expected to be August. Obviously that didn't happen. But guess what?! I just read on the forums that the new expected date of arrival is JUNE OF THIS YEAR! Well... Multiply it by a few more years and it MIGHT be out by then.

You can't advertise something that isn't true. Arkadia is NOT a treasure hunting MMO. It WILL be if they ever get off their a$$e$ and make it happen. If they are having trouble figuring out what items to make as treasure, and what can be done with them, well, just listen to everyone's suggestions!

I think it would be great, especially with gold at $1,750 an ounce, to slip a few 1 gram, or 1/10th ounce bars of gold into the loot pool to be found while treasure hunting, and ship them out. This would be a great way to kickstart the treasure hunting. And the cost of a one ounce bar of silver to slip in the loot pool would only be about $35 right now... So you give a few hundred peds in real treasure to your prospectors... Do you know how popular this would make Arkadia? Virtual treasure is fine, but it seems to me, if you have a real cash economy, you might as well throw in some real treasures as well.. I mean, they throw in laptops to the mining pool... SERIOUSLY!

There are so many great things that can be done... IF THEY DON'T SCREW IT UP. Please voice your ideas to their development team... If you like any of mine, the more of you passing them on the more likely they will listen to popular demand. The old adage in business is, the customer is always right. Customer choices and habits, also desires dictate what directions companies will take their products. Otherwise, if you run your company the same way a government operates, you might put snorkels on airplanes!!! It is ridiculous and an inefficient waste of resources. But that's what happens when companies don't listen to their customers.

I am sorry to ramble. I see a lot of hits coming in from people wanting to know about Arkadia and the treasure hunting. It is very irritating to me that it is not here. I went to Arkadia because I thought that next vu it would be out and I wanted to be there the first day and see what could be found. But it never happened. And I lost too many peds waiting to see. I also had a bad experience with eBay and a customer, you may check my eBay blog to read about that if you are curious.

But... Now that I have vented... Let's get back to business as usual, shall we?

Also, I want to thank all of you for making this blog a big success. The traffic I generate on a daily basis here is mind blowing for me. Never in a hundred years did I expect to start a blog or site that would bring in upwards of 200 hits on a good day most of them unique. If you have a website you would like to advertise, I am willing to negotiate terms to give you your own placement for your ad on this blog for a month, or a year at a time. It will cost, but where else do you have such a niche of targeted traffic? Otherwise I will just keep running the current ads.

I plan to streamline the look of this blog soon, but I am currently authoring several books that will be released on Kindle, hence you may have noticed my poll. I expect to upload my first finished book to Amazon today. It is about real life gold prospecting, and no doubt a post on it will soon follow on my prospecting blog.

Just as our environment has random variables, and certain laws of physics... The fact that Entropia is a computer program does not negate the fact that it too is an environment much like our own, with certain rules and laws that govern how it operates. This leads to peculiar and unique patterns in prospecting there too. It is not as scientific as real life prospecting is, but somehow, I can't help but feel my vast knowledge and love of prospecting has translated into my success where prospecting in Entropia is concerned.

It is further sad to note... That after running my sluice box for an hour, the dollar amount present in the cleanup even from poor gravel, is anywhere from 50 to 200 peds worth, and my best day of prospecting in todays value yielded what would have been around 3800 peds in game if I were to have sold and deposited my gold.

But still... There is a unique excitement in seeing those large roman numerals showing up on your finder. It isn't the same as seeing a nugget in your pan... But unfortunately may be the closest thing you will ever experience to hitting the motherlode.

January 2012: Review of the Planets

Well.. I got to thinking about the various planets and how a person might decide just one to start on. Without having already played, who's to know which planet is best for you? So, I thought I would write a general post covering each of the planets and what they have to offer. I am trying to be as objective and unbiased as possible. I have no vested interest in Calypso, Rocktropia, or Arkadia. I am not their investor, or otherwise affiliated with them. I don't even own Calypso Land Deeds. I am however a qualified and experienced Speech and Interview judge, so I am used to judging what I see in a fair manner.

Calypso:
Features: The flagship planet of the Entropia Universe. Has the strongest most developed economy, the largest population. In general, most of the professions do well here. However, I have decided to rank the planets according to what they seem geared best for.
Crafting: 10/10 (Widest access to materials, and markets for your crafted goods.)
Hunting: 9/10 (Largest variety of mobs, from noob to uber, but item drop rates suck)
Mining: 8/10 (Could be better, could be worse, but is perhaps the most balanced, and has best market for selling your ores and enmatters.)
Quests: 2/10 (Unless you do the 10K Bronze, the quest rewards suck)
Noob Friendly: 5/10 (It is hard to start as a noob here, you can't own the oil rig, sweat prices are depressed, the quests don't give you anything but nova and blazar fragments unless you spend a lot doing them. In short, deposit, or die of boredom.)

ROCKtropia:
Features: Rock and Roll themed planet. Large variety of easy mobs for beginners. Large variety of uber mobs for ubers. Ores and Enmatters that are specific only to this planet. Large array of rewarding and fairly easy quests. Is home to HELL and Artic.
Crafting: 5/10 (Many materials hard to come by for doing larger runs. Poor market for reselling your crafted goods unless you own a shop or stand in lagoon advertising all day, seems a lot of people here don't know how to use the Auction house.)
Hunting: 9/10 (Noob mobs are SUPER easy, some of the tough mobs are super easy too, but some of the tough mobs are uber tough. Why I give it 9/10 is hunting loot markups, large variety of super easy to super tough mobs, and in general, I get literally 5 to 10 times the items I've ever looted on Calypso.)
Mining: 8/10 (I only give it 8 because of lack of sustainable demand for mined resources. It can be quite a challenge selling your ores fast. I wanted to give it a 10 because deposits are shallow and easily hit with shallow finders, and THERE IS NO COST TO GO TO HELL unlike trying to get to F.O.M.A.)
Quests: 10/10 (Some of the mission chains are still in their infancy, however, of the ones in existence, there is actually TT value on the rewards! You don't get novas and blazars... You get high markup goodies! The Thing gives you 50 pec TT helicopter and 50 pec TT truck, and couple peds in weapons faps and ammo! RT quests give you gold coin worth 5K% to 25K% MU (5 peds to 25 peds per K), Rocktropia Records (10 to the pec) And items that help you gain other quests, like police badge and radio which together are worth like 20 peds mu. When I first arrived, it took me a week to do all the beginner quests to familiarize myself with the place before I even really did any ped spending!)
Noob Friendly: 10/10 (The people here are VERY friendly and helpful. The quests are SUPER easy for non depositing noobs especially the Artic The Thing quest, and a lot of the beginning mobs drop good loot for being one shot opalo mobs. Sweating might be tougher, but sweat is about a ped or two per K higher than on Caly)

Arkadia:
Features: Well... In my opinion, they are a LONG ways from reaching my satisfaction. They have FAILED thus far to bring out Treasure Hunting. They had claimed I believe last August to have it implemented, but NOPE. And this is what everyone was waiting for!
Crafting: 7/10 (I only put it at 7 because many of the prints require a huge number of different ingredients making it a nightmare to try and click them, However the Auction seems to be a slight bit stronger here for selling crafted items than on Rocktropia.)
Hunting: 5/10 (Well... I figure 5 was low enough, it is a failing grade. You have to be pretty uber to hunt even the low level mobs any more... And the loot is astonishingly crappy. It's not just my own experience, but failing treasure hunting, I know several people who refuse to go back to Arkadia until everything is as promised. I have no idea what they expect you to hunt here as a total noob. The Tiarak are about the only mob I can kill.)
Mining: 6/10 (It started out great mining here to be quite honest. But hit rates are way down now, if I wanted 1 in 10 bombs to hit, I'd go to Hell where sure, 1 in 10 is a very good ratio when you are talking X's and higher! Also, there isn't the best market for trying to sell your ores either, and I havn't seen enough traders when I've needed them.)
Quests: ?/10 (I don't think I have even found a mission broker here but I haven't looked for them either, so I can't really comment on this part of it.)
Noob Friendly: 5/10 (I just don't see the great opportunities that Rocktropia, or even Calypso have to offer. Lacking totally noob mobs for the noobs, I have no choice but to give it a low rating. I may be wrong, I am not an Ark expert, but this is what I see.)

Next Island:
I have only been to Next Island once, and never returned. It is definitely more noob friendly than Arkadia and maybe even Calypso, but there's nothing really spectacular here as far as I am concerned. I really am not in a position to make any comments regarding the game play here since for me it's nearly a year since I was there. I like to think it's came a long ways since they began. I am told though that Ancient Greece is good for cheap Melee skills! At the time I was there, loots were on par with Calypso for Mining, Hunting, wasn't maybe as good, but I am sure that's all changed.

As things improve or get worse over time, I will come back from time to time and update this listing for your benefit. This is mainly intended as a quick guide for you to look at your needs and wants, and possibly help you decide where you want to concentrate your energies. I mean, it's obvious. If all you want to do is craft, start on Calypso. This is just made as a tool that offers a second opinion where one is desired.  If the management of these properties that I have reviewed do not like my scores, then they should read and take heed... If Ark will ever introduce Treasure Hunting, I will probably give them 10/10! I mean seriously folks! Treasure hunting! A new concept, yet they are dragging their feet... It just doesn't make sense to me. They have a veritable gold mine within their grasp, but slowly the golden goose is dying and wasting away. Soon, Ark might be a ghost town. Rocktropia has a lot of work left to be done, but at least they are putting quality into it. Calypso, is booming and needs room to expand,  but this is why we need to get the other planets economies roaring to life, so that people have viable alternatives to go to.

I wish you all luck, and if you are choosing which planet to begin on, give it some careful thought :-) And you don't have to just take my advice for it.

MINING: Arkadia / Rocktropia Ores / Enmatters Average Depths!

I promised it, and here it is! Again compiled from stats found at www.mininglog.com... No, i'm not affiliated with them in anyway, just their method of collecting data allows for relative accuracy over the long run, and is as scientific as one can get in Entropia.

Along with the Calypso average depths posted here for ores and enmatters in earlier posts,

Here are the remaining average depths for any exclusive ores and enmats to Rocktropia and Arkadia.

ORES:
-----------------------------------
Alternative Rock ~413
Banite Stones ~597
Blues Rock ~310
Folk Rock ~468
Glam Rock ~704
Grunge Rock ~398
Hard Rock ~1052
Hebredite Stones ~748
Jazz Rock ~646
Kaz Stones ~935
Lidacon Stones ~846
Ospra Stones ~447
Punk Rock ~547
Telfium Stones ~678
Veda Stones ~433
Wenrex Stones ~644
Yulerium Stones ~650
Zulax Stones ~738

Enmatters:
------------------------------
Florican Mist ~576
Hurricane Cocktail ~884
Hydrogen Steam ~656
Mai Tai ~478
Pel Crystals ~756
Pina Colada ~373
Quil Sap ~580
Somin Tar ~498
Star Particles ~817
Vorn Pellets ~802
Xelo Haze ~685
Zolphic Oil ~450

And that concludes the average depths for the Current Entropia Universe.

As more planets with more resources are added, I will do more posts to keep a list going here.

I am not familiar with planet specific finders... However, a safe bet is to use eMine or F-105's for finding most everything...  But if you can use the super high level finders and afford them, by all means go that route. The main thing is, target the average depth of that which you are seeking, and you will more likely find it if you are in the right place for that resource to be found.

Good luck and happy prospecting!

Arkadia: Crafting Contest, and Treasure Coming Soon Hopefully

It would appear that there is currently a crafting contest going on at Arkadia, crafting globals on arkadian blueprints over 100 peds are eligible for one of a series of blueprints. I don't know what kind of prints, but I would assume that they are primarily going to be issued to the winners of the competition. I havn't had a crafting global in so long I am probably not even going to bother!!! But those of you who think you have what it takes might look into it further and give it a shot.

Yes, the auction house is a bit volatile... The crafters aren't around because it's hard for them to procure enough resources to craft with, and without crafters, there is no market for the miners to sell to. Me being on Arkadia right now trying to mine, I end up TTing all my ores becuase I can't wait a week for all my peds worth of stuff to sell. So most of what I have lost up there is due to the fact I can't get markup since there isn't a lot of demand because there isn't a lot of supply.. It is really a vicious cycle.

HOWEVER... All you gotta do is place your orders up there. Most resources HAVE no orders. If you give orders, you will get miners wanting to sell their resources now. And traders, traders of all people should be jumping on this opportunity.

My biggest complaint is there is very little narc, alice, and iron to be found on Ark.. It's not a bad thing to have common stuff on other planets be rare here and vice versa... It creates opportunity, but what we need are people to jump on that opportunity. I would do it myself, and maybe I will... But I am so short on funds at present that I can't even begin to try.

SO with all of that said.. I take that back, that is not my biggest complaint. My biggest complaint is we've been waiting so long for treasure hunting to get here that I hope it is actually going to be in this next update. I can't imagine how much business Arkadia is losing because of this not having been released on time.

Those of you who have suggestions, you need to make sure and let support know what your suggestions are. You might think they don't listen to what you have to say, but if you send them reasonable ideas that are plausible and even beneficial, they do listen. I see many things that I and others have suggested come into play finally. The squeaky wheel gets the grease and the customer is always right... Unless Mindark is wrong, in which case they won't admit it :P That's why if you ever have a support case, MAKE SURE TO SEND THEM A SCREENSHOT OR THEY WILL DENY ANYTHING WENT WRONG!

I will be on Arkadia for quite a while maybe, and any crafters needing materials, feel free to get ahold of me and I can arrange to meet with you to supply you with anything you are needing for crafting. Otherwise, place orders on the auction house and I will look for them and fill them as I always do.

Question of the Day:
If you spend say 300 Peds on an amp or something and use it up, do you think of it as a loss of $30, or do you just think of it as a loss of 300 Peds?

You might ask what importance this has to me, but it does have some. There is a psychological element to the Entropia Universe... Personally, I tend to think of it in terms of Peds.. Spending $30 in a casino and losing it is far more devestating to me than losing 300 Peds in Entropia, but why? Just wondering if it is similar to you guys is all.

I do not believe Entropia Universe is a casino... In fact, to avoid that legality, everything is "skill based", and "skill based" gaming is not gambling... Though you are still risking a stake to try and win a profit... Just a thought... And I highly suspect the reason banks are in fact pawnshops in the game, is because for them to actually allow actual bank type banks, being a real cash economy, it would violate a ton of banking regulations around the world... Just my observations, maybe I am wrong...

Part of what I am trying to do here is to get you guys thinking. If you aren't thinking about things, then your mind becomes dull, and if we keep it sharp, your losses will be much less. If you don't use it, you lose it.

Update On The Economy in Entropia: Major Price Changes Open Up Opportunity

Because I am dedicated to the crafter and miner, though more and more I am hunter friendly, the prices in the market place and auction house affect us all. When Thrusters first came out, they were around 500 peds with markup! A great many were sold and used at those astronomical prices! Gungnirs were 1500 peds without any weapons when they came out!

Well... In the past month or two, prices have changed a LOT.

ON CALYPSO:
Thrusters are going for about 30 to 50 peds now, so what, about 700% markup instead of the 7000% they used to be!

Gungnirs and Sleipnirs are going for 300% or so now. So you can pick one up for about 75 Peds.

However, on Arkadia, thrusters were selling for around 80 peds, meaning there is room to make some money if you want to make the long flight.

Alicenies is rockbottom at very nearly TT food prices. However, it still selling for a nice premium on Arkadia and who knows where all else. This is one resource that might be worth just buying a bunch to wait for prices to go back up. It is used in so many blueprints, and for high demand components like Basic Sheet Metal.

Narcanisum is cheap now as well, at around 125%.

The time hasn't been better for buying things, in general, prices on most things have dropped, so nows the time to hit the market and auction and see if you can turn a buck!

And no, this isn't a promotion for Mind Ark LMAO... Instead, this is your wakeup call. The early bird gets the worm... And the first man gets the oyster and the pearl, the second one the shell! Go show the world what Free Enterprise can do for you! Where there is opportunity, there are profits!

ARKADIA: Ores I have, and Have Not Found Here!

It is a little later than I expected, but I have had so much fun on Arkadia, and mining has treated me EXTREMELY well here... Except... Crafting is a PAIN, becuase you need so many resources from so many different planets. I can't craft combustors because I can't get Melchi on Arkadia... I can't craft basic screws because I don't want to pay 125% for Iron when I can get it for 107% on Calypso to make TT food... And I sure can't find Iron on Arkadia... So... I know you guys are going to want to know what can be found and what hasn't been found on Arkadia. I don't have a full list... However, if I have hit it, you can assume that there is a fairly high concentration... And if I haven't hit it, after 1K drops, it may be extremely rare or non existent.

NOT FOUND:
Of the things I need but can't find,

GAZZURDITE, IRON, MELCHI, NARCANISUM, ALICENIES (Others have found Narc and Alice, but in very low concentrations).

FOUND:
COPPER, ZINC, FRIGULITE, IGNISIUM, MEGAN, BINARY FLUID, CRUDE OIL, LYSTERIUM, DIANUM, GARCEN, FORCE NEXUS, QUANTIUM, DIANTHUS, SOLIS, GROWTH MOLECULES,

These I have found with the F-105.

This is not a complete list, and only the Calypso ores are mentioned, because obviously all Arkadia ores should be findable ;-)

I will update this list as more info comes in.

Arkadia is amazing, and my ped card keeps going up! Can't wait, maybe my first tower is going to happen soon!!!

Planet Arkadia

I have just arrived in Arkadia... Am going to explore and see what there is to see, and report back. I have heard that Treasure Hunting will be in place by about August... Despite being overanxious for it to get here...

Standby for Arkadia posts within 24 hours!

MINING CHANGES EXPLAINED

I just wanted to clarify some of the changes you will see in mining...

Your OF 105 has become F-105... Your eMine OFS has become the eMineFS... All of your finders seem to have been converted, but they could have appeared as anything, who knows... I am still a bit confused and somehow feel we didn't get fully compensated for the values of the converted finders...

But in any case, you can now mine for Ores AND EnMatters AND Treasure (if on Arkadia), or any of the three... I have dropped for both Ores and EnMatters with one drop and hit BOTH DEPOSITS ON THE SAME DROP. So... Guess what? Probes have become like Ammunition.

A probe costs 5 pecs. It still costs a ped to drop for ore, 20 probes, and 50 pecs to drop for enmatters, or 10 probes. Or you can do both for 30 probes, or 1.50 ped.

Amps still work the same way, just don't let their new names confuse you.

I really do like the changes despite the confusing nature of them. Hope this helps you! Thanks for reading! More great posts coming soon!!!

So you want to move... Things to know:

With the advent of new planets, most recently arkadia... Www.planetarkadia.com for more info... I thought I would give you a few tips that you should remember so you don't make what is supposed to be a permanent move only to find you have to go back to where you came from. I know my friends are wanting and perhaps already have moved to Arkadia.

If you want to move I suggest the following:

If the planet is somewhat new, Truro find out the supply and demand situation so that you can supply yourself more cheaply to get you by a little while in your new environment. If you can't get ore amps chaply on your new planet, it will save you money stocking up before you go.

Storage in my entropia experience has never been linked between planets. You want to have all your storage moved into your avatar. Check all your tabs.

Check the auction house and maybe pull any unsold items or perhaps listed items... This will prevent you from having to pay transport fees.

All your current items should work in your new home so don't have a moving sale if you don't need to.

Be sure to read the forums for any information you might need to know about your new home before moving because if anyone made a mistake they are sure to post about it.

I know this is basic stuff but we usually forget the basic stuff in our haste to accomplish something. From one oldtime colonist to a noob, go to arkadia young man!

Entropia: Helpful Links You Should Know

I have ran into a lot of Entropians who still don't know a lot of the best places to get information they need. A lot of things in Entropia Universe seem to have a high degree of confusion, such as how big of a skill implant do you need to cash out 2500 skill points? Or, how big of an implant do you need to go from 2000 prospecting to 3500 prospecting? Then you have times when you need to find out every possible item you can manufacture with the resources you have on hand.

A lot of things are learned by trial error, which for most Entropians is expensive to do, so fortunately there are those who have tried, and sacrificed, but have been nice enough to share their information and research with us all.

Because it is an important matter, I wish to share these useful resources so that you may have a more pleasant experience in Entropia.

http://www.entropedia.info/... A must visit. They have a full Wiki on everything. They have a database of all ores, enmatters, materials, blueprints, skills, every last thing you could need to look up can be found here. Even a complete list of mobs, and their common loots, and even where you can find them. They even have maps that you can select what you want to find, whether it be an ore, or a mob, and it will show you the reported areas on a map!

http://www.entropiabay.com/... Their numbers are off on markups, but other than that, is a free alternative to the auction house. And they have an inventory calculator, just copy and paste all your items from your account list when you log in at http://www.planetcalypso.com/ and it will tell you what your value is before and after markup.

http://www.entropiatracker.com/ is a must visit too.. They use Optical Character Recognition to provide real time global and hof stats. It tracks each item, each ore and enmatter, each mob, what globals and hofs they have had... Their average loots, highest loots, total for that day, the times they were hit. A lot of patterns can be studied and perhaps theories derived. But importantly, it tracks each persons hofs and globals, so it keeps a running record of everything you hit :)

http://www.entropiatools.com/numchips.php If you wish to ever chip out your skills, this tells you how many skills will fit on a certain TT value chip. If you have say, 5000 skills, and you wish to sell 2000 skills, you would go to the 2000 skills on the chart, and it would tell you the smallest chip you can use to hold 2000 skills would be 11.64 TT... The more skills on a chip, the disproportionately higher the TT value goes. Likewise, it tells you if you want to buy a 5,000 skill point chip, the TT value of implant to look for! I will make a post soon about how chipping works, so you can get the most out of it.

And last but not least, http://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/ .

There are more great sites, but you can find their links within the pages I've given you. These are probably the most important of them.

Stay tuned for more posts coming soon!!!
