It just occurred to me I should post about the subject of sweating and the use of Synchronization chips. The estimated cost to continuously give yourself the concentration boost, is around half a ped per hour. Assuming 3 peds per K of sweat, that is about 175 to 200 extra sweat per hour you must collect JUST to break even and see any benefit.
So, before I go any further, let's talk about what the Synchronization chip does. When you are hit with the effect from this mindforce chip, for 5 minutes you gain increased concentration and focus, so that when mobs hit you, your concentration isn't broken and your sweating is successful. As opposed to getting interrupted every time you are hit. But it consumes mindforce to do this.
Traditionally, most people sweat a very large mob in large groups, say at Neas. This negates the need for any concentration buffs, since only one person in the group is under attack at any given moment, and everyone else is able to sweat uninterrupted. But for the lone sweater, every time you are hit, you lose concentration, and your sweat attempt is wasted.
So... If you sweat in large groups, the synchronization chip is a waste. But... If you sweat by yourself, I can see the benefits of having it. Every click that starts pulling sweat, succeeds regardless of being hit or not. But if you are being hit, it takes much longer for the sweat cycle to finish. It is quite possible that you might not even get enough extra sweat from the successes to pay for the mindforce for this chip.
But I can tell you straight up... If you take advantage of group sweating, you are only throwing away your peds if you use the synchronization chips.

Sweating: Is It a Waste Of Time? Or Is It Something Everyone Should Do?
Sweating is very slow, and very tedious. I can't stand having to sweat. It is an annoying thing to have to do and gets monotonous very fast. Very big kudos to those of you who have established your Entropia existence by only sweating and not depositing. I can't imagine a slower way to progress, nor can I imagine any harder work than that. But perhaps even those of you who rush straight into depositing are missing out on some valuable benefits from not sweating... So here are my observations and thoughts on the issue. I am not trying to talk anyone into or out of sweating. I am merely trying to answer the question of "Why should I bother?"
Sweating was a lot easier Pre-VU 10... I say this because I used to get 10 sweat or so per success... Which actually, makes it not sound so bad as it used to be... Well, Between 5 to 10 I guess is what I used to get. But now, I have to make half a dozen attempts at sweating and then, if I succeed, I only get 1 or 2 bottles?! This is insanity!
But...
You gain athletics, and evade from sweating. Very important defensive skills. I suspect your other attributes like concentration and intelligence are affected as well. Point is, you gain some very important skills from sweating, that contribute to the other things you do in the game. I begin to wonder if people who have sweated a lot spending the same peds as someone who's never sweated will have better results over the long run.
The defensive skills will help you save money on armor decay. They will eventually get you to the point where you might not even need armor if you get enough of them. I will do some sweating and see what all skills you get from doing it, and I will revise this post and add them here.
If you don't want to die of boredom from having to sweat, just commit yourself to doing it for say 15 or 30 minutes a day, and it's going to add up over a week or two.
The price of sweat should be going up eventually, so long as MA keeps giving us more stuff to craft with it. I have seen the price currently running anywhere between 3 and 5 peds... You won't get rich very fast, but 1K of sweat will get you quite a few rookie bombs and rookie finders, and yes, those do global and hof... Though I have yet to see one ATH :P
Good Luck and Happy Sweating.

Need Peds? A Few Links To Earn A Few Bucks
This is going to be an entry that will be expanded and reduced as time goes by. I know a lot of us need more peds but don't have the money to deposit. There are a few programs which I am aware of that HAVE paid me in the past. Earnings is slow, and not large sums of money, but it is still more than what you are likely going to make from sweating. The goal here, is to show you ways of earning an extra $5, $10, or maybe even $20 a month that you can deposit in Entropia if you like. You don't have to use it for that, but maybe you want to get back some of the money you have been depositing.
I promise this is going to be the only post in this blog dealing with this topic. After much debate with myself, I decided it was acceptable to share anything I know of that will help my fellow Entropians. And since money is what drives Entropia, I didn't think it fair of me not to share some good streams of small but regular income. Some of them don't need much or any effort at all, others will require quite a bit of effort to get much out of them. But it is less tedious than sweating if you ask me!!!
None of the following are affiliate with Entropia or Mindark in any way. Also, I am not affiliated with these outfits either, other than I am a member with them and since I have made some extra cash that I was able to deposit into EU with, I wanted to bring them to your attention. I will not ever post a link to any program that does not pay or otherwise is a scam. This list will be added to regularly so bookmark this post and check back from time to time for any new links.
I can't tell you you will make a certain amount, it all depends on you and how much effort you put into these. But I do know if you put as much effort into them as many people put into sweating, you can easily make more than you would sweating! Just be aware though that there are at times cashout minimums, and they can take anywhere from days to weeks to months to hit... But it is nice when you finally get your payment!
Little Effort Required:

MyFreeShares... I have been a member with them for many years, and they have been good about making their payouts. You earn shares through various methods, and these shares earn you a portion of the site's revenues. The more shares you accumulate the more you will earn. But they started deducting shares when you make a withdrawal, but this ensures everyone gets a fair chance to make a decent amount right from the start, as opposed to "having to catch up" with the people with the most shares to get anything. It is very very slow earnings, but steady and almost no effort required. They can pay you with PayPal.
Lots Of Effort Required:

Exodus3000:
It takes a bit of time to really get going on this one, you get 250 moves a day, but there are ways to earn more too. You mine for resources which fluxuate in value, and you earn Mars Dollars, which convert into real money when you get enough to convert them. Depending on your levels, as little as 300,000 Mars Dollars will equal $20... But starting out, it takes 1 million MD to equal $20. They post their exchange rates for each range of skills. You can attack other player's and take some of their money, and they can attack you too if they find you. It is quite a bit of fun but can get tedious and as such isn't for everyone. It is a browser based game requiring java. It's an option to being bored if you end up waiting for all your peds to sell on auction house :-)

Why Should You Play Entropia? EU vs. Other MMOs
Very few MMOs run on a real cash economy and even fewer are big enough to ensure viability, sustainability, and a stable in game currency. Most MMOs require a monthl subscription and no equity is built costing you time and money simply for recreation with no chance to gain anything in return.
Entropia vs. Second Life:
The Peds in Entropia are created out of user deposits. While a small credit card processing fee applies, you are given your full purchase in Peds. The exhange rate is 10 Peds to the USD and does not fluctuate. Second Life's Lindens fluctuate like a yoyo.
Also, Entropia runs life like game engine with stunning graphics that don't kill video cards. I have heard of Second Life killing cutting edge graphics cards in half an hour or less. Even though I had a higher end computer, my frame rates in Second Life could be counted on one finger!
Entropia has a clean interface. Everything is intuitive for the most part. It looks clean crisp and professional yet fun and casual. And even your skills can be sold!
Entropia vs. WoW and etc...
Entropia does not charge a subscription. Most others do. Then I hear of people playing WoW for two years, maxing their character out, only to have spent how much in hat time and have nothing to show for it only to start over with a new character again. I just don't get it. Entropia builds equity. I can cash in my skills. Or I can keep them and do even more uber stuff. You can't really max your character out in EU. And if I hi a really good loot, then we ain't talking monopoly money or small potatos.
Sure Entropia doesn't seem fair at times but eventually when you are doing well you won see the problem any more. But what's better? Losing two years and you subscription fees? Or using that money to buy Peds and stand a good shot at hitting something big!
However there are some MMOs that have a deeper level of enjoyment. EU can get boring but they are fixing that with all the new worlds and Quests and missions and etc. There is increasingly more and more being added to improve the players experience. But I have a soft spot for Star Trek Online. They have done a great job and the depth of play is amazing and immersive and in my opinion, it is the only MMO that I don feel like I am wasting time... Because I love star trek and that is the closest I'll ever be to living it I am sure. But it is nice to have something to do when EU is down for updates or loots are cold.
Entropia has no fees... You CAN play for free not depositing but it is hard work... I am working on a website that will revolutionize earning peds without sweating but at this time it is classified top secret :)
There are people that started without depositing and now own shops and land areas... Hey worked hard but you can get there too if you give it a chance.
