I only post this to my blog because a lot of Entropians are bitcoin miners and or otherwise involved with bitcoins... I have found a Bitcoin auction site called BitMit that is too good not to share with you. And there are quite a few items listed considering what a novelty Bitcoins still are. If you click the link it will open in a new window so you won't leave the blog.
I try to keep everything posted to be Entropia related since this is my Entropia blog, but every once in a while there is something I think a lot of you could use or otherwise make extra money with, which is something you can turn into peds and avoid having to sweat.

The New VU is AWESOME!
Well.. I am referring to the crafting. I can't speak on the rest of it at the moment... But now you no longer have to look through your prints, no more dragging materials into the crafting window. And no more having to write down your spend on a run and track your returns... There is now a statistics button on your crafting run! If you never liked crafting, I bet you will now!
HOWEVER... I have been warned by an uber crafter that normally does well, that he's gone as much as 60 clicks WITHOUT a success, yes it is on full condition, but it is also a new record for him. So I suspect it may take some time for the loot pools to operate properly.
Hunting loot is supposed to have been rebalanced, but we will see how that goes as well.

Outrage of the Week: A Land Area with 10% Mining Tax???!!!
Apparently Outback Land Area 64 south of Shinook has 10% mining tax as of this posting, with 3% hunting tax...
Everyone is favoring the hunters, and shafting the miners. Anyone going past 5% on their taxes is ASKING to be boycotted and lose their visitors.
If I ever find that the tax has changed I will update this post or delete it depending on how good the fix is... But seriously... I don't expect anyone will want to mine with giving the owner 10% of their finds... I am sure the land owner will realize they are losing miners, and have to lower the taxes to get them back. If it turns out they are the only source for certain ores on the whole planet, then maybe, maybe they can get away with 10% taxes. But I for one will not be going back there any time soon.
I am not only trying to bring you guys quality information, but I am also trying to take on the role of watchdog. Someone has to, and everyone will benefit from warnings and cautions. I would expect a 5% tax to bring four or five times the business that a 10% tax land area would bring.
